Gin is a spirit which derives its flavor from juniper berries.

The gin category is one of the most popular and widely distributed range of spirits, and is represented by products of various styles.

Gin can be distilled or made by simply adding approved natural flavoring substances to a neutral spirit of agricultural origin. The predominant flavor must be juniper.

The 3 main types of gin are: GIN, DISTILLED GIN AND LONDON GIN:

GIN
is a juniper-flavored spirit made not via the redistillation of botanicals, but by simply adding approved natural flavoring substances to a neutral spirit of agricultural origin. The predominant flavor must be juniper. Distilled gin

DISTILLED GIN
is produced exclusively by redistilling ethyl alcohol of agricultural origin with an initial strength of 96% ABV in stills. with the presence of juniper berries and of other natural botanicals, provided that the juniper taste is predominant. Gin obtained simply by adding essences or flavorings to ethyl alcohol of agricultural origin is not distilled gin.
LONDON GIN
is obtained exclusively from ethyl alcohol of agricultural origin with a maximum methanol content of 5 grams per hectolitre of 100% ABV equivalent, whose flavour is introduced exclusively through the re-distillation in traditional stills of ethyl alcohol in the presence of all the natural plant materials used, the resultant distillate of which is at least 70% ABV. London gin may not contain added sweetening exceeding 0.1 grams of sugars per liter of the final product, nor colorants, nor any added ingredients other than water. The term London gin may be known by the term "dry".

COCKTAIL INGREDIENTS INSTRUCTIONS
.50 Caliber
2 oz Jack Daniel's Tennessee whiskey
2 oz Jim Beam bourbon whiskey
2 oz dry gin
2 oz Absolut vodka
1 oz Squirt citrus soda
    
Pour the Jack Daniel's Tennessee whiskey, Jim Beam bourbon whiskey, dry gin and Absolut vodka into a highball glass half-filled with ice cubes. Add Squirt, and serve.
    
Alabama Slammer
1/2 oz amaretto almond liqueur
1/2 oz Southern Comfort peach liqueur
1/2 oz sloe gin
1 splash orange juice
1 splash sweet and sour mix
    
Pour above ingredients into a stainless steel shaker over ice and shake until completely cold. Strain into an old-fashioned glass and serve.
    
Baltimore Zoo
1 shot vodka
1 shot light rum
1 shot gin
1 shot triple sec
1 shot Southern Comfort peach liqueur
1 shot amaretto almond liqueur
1 shot grenadine syrup
1 dash sweet and sour mix
1 splash beer
    
Add the liquors and grenadine to a highball glass with ice. Top off with sweet and sour mix, add a splash of beer, and stir.
    
Blue Motorcycle
1 1/2 oz tequila
fill with sweet and sour mix
1 1/2 oz rum
1 splash 7-Up soda
1 1/2 oz vodka
1 1/2 oz gin
1 1/2 oz Blue Curacao liqueur
    
Build over ice in a collins glass. Fill with sour mix and add a splash of 7-Up
    

Dirty Martini
2 oz gin
1 tbsp dry vermouth
2 tbsp olive juice
2  olives
1. Place an ice cube and a small amount of water in a cocktail glass. Place in freezer for 2 - 3 minutes.
 2. Fill a mixer with all ingredients including garnish. Cover and shake hard 3 - 4 times.
 3. Remove cocktail glass from freezer, and empty. Strain contents of the mixer into the cocktail glass, include one of the olives, and serve with a mysterious smile.
    
Genuine Singapore Sling
1 oz gin
1/2 oz cherry brandy
4 oz pineapple juice
1/2 oz lime juice
1/4 oz Cointreau orange liqueur
1/4 oz benedictine herbal liqueur
1/3 oz grenadine syrup
1 dash Angostura bitters
    
Combine all of the ingredients in a shaker, fill with ice and shake until the shaker is well frosted. Strain into a tall glass and garnish with a slice of pineapple and cherry.
    
Gin and Tonic
2 oz gin
5 oz tonic water
1  lime wedge
    
Pour the gin and the tonic water into a highball glass almost filled with ice cubes. Stir well. Garnish with the lime wedge.
    
Grateful Dead
1 part tequila
1 part vodka
1 part light rum
1 part gin
1 part Chambord raspberry liqueur
    
Shake ingredients, pour over ice in a collins glass, and serve.
    
Hurricane
1 oz vodka
1/4 oz grenadine syrup
1 oz gin
1 oz light rum
1/2 oz Bacardi 151 rum
1 oz amaretto almond liqueur
1 oz triple sec
grapefruit juice
pineapple juice
    
Pour all but the juices, in order listed, into a hurricane glass three-quarters filled with ice. Fill with equal parts of grapefruit and pineapple juice, and serve.
    

Irish Trash Can
1/2 oz gin
1/2 oz light rum
1/2 oz vodka
1/2 oz peach schnapps
1/2 oz Blue Curacao liqueur
1/2 oz triple sec
1 can Red Bull energy drink
    
Fill glass full of ice, then add all liquors and stir. Add full can of Red Bull. It will float and slowly seep down the glass, turning the mix green, hence the name Irish Trash Can!
    
James Bond Martini
3 oz gin
1 oz vodka
1/2 oz Lillet Blanc wine
    
Pour the gin, vodka and Lillet blanc into a cocktail shaker half-filled with cracked ice. Shake well, and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a twist of lemon, and serve.
    
Long Island Cocktail
1 part tequila
1 part gin
1 part whiskey
1 part white rum
1 part vodka
1 oz sugar syrup
Coca-Cola
orange juice
    
Combine and mix all ingredients in a collins glass, and serve.
    
Martini Cocktail
1 1/2 oz gin
1/2 oz dry vermouth
    
Stir with ice cubes, and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with an olive or a twist of lemon.
    
Mountain Breeze
1/2 oz vodka
1/2 oz gin
1/2 oz triple sec
1 oz cranberry juice
1/2 oz rum
1/2 oz tequila
1 1/2 oz sweet and sour mix
1/2 oz grapefruit juice
    
Build ingredients over ice in a hurricane glass, shake and garnish with a lime wedge.
    

Negroni Cocktail
1 oz gin
1 oz sweet vermouth
1 oz Campari bitters
    
Stir with ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass 3/4 filled with cracked ice. Add a splash of soda water if desired. Garnish with a half slice of orange.
    
Red Death
1/2 oz vodka
1/2 oz Southern Comfort peach liqueur
1/2 oz amaretto almond liqueur
1/2 oz triple sec
1/2 oz sloe gin
1/2 oz lime juice
orange juice
    
Pour all ingredients (except orange juice) into an ice-filled collins glass. Fill with orange juice, and serve.
    
Red Devil
1 1/2 oz vodka
1 1/2 oz peach schnapps
1 1/2 oz Southern Comfort peach liqueur
1 1/2 oz sloe gin
2 oz triple sec
2 oz orange juice
1 splash grenadine syrup
    
Mix alcohols into an ice-filled cocktail shaker. Add the juice and grenadine, and shake. Serve in a 10-12 oz. glass.
    
Singapore Sling
1/2 oz grenadine syrup
1 oz gin
sweet and sour mix
club soda
1/2 oz cherry brandy
    
Pour grenadine into the bottom of a collins glass, and fill with ice. Add gin, and almost-fill with equal parts of sweet and sour and chilled soda. Top with cherry brandy, and serve unstirred, garnished with a cherry.
    
Texas Tea
22 oz tequila
2 oz rum
2 oz vodka
2 oz gin
2 oz bourbon whiskey
2 oz triple sec
2 oz sweet and sour mix
Coca-Cola
    
Fill a 1 gallon pitcher with ice. Add all the ingredients except the coca-cola. Stir, then add the coca-cola and stir again. Pour into your favorite glass with ice and enjoy.
    
Tokyo Tea
11/2 oz vodka
1/2 oz rum
1/2 oz gin
1/2 oz tequila
1/2 oz triple sec
1 oz Midori melon liqueur
    
Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker. Shake, strain into a small highball glass filled with ice, and serve.
    
Tom Collins
2 oz gin
1 oz lemon juice
1 tsp superfine sugar
3 oz club soda
1  maraschino cherry
1 slice orange
    
In a shaker half-filled with ice cubes, combine the gin, lemon juice, and sugar. Shake well. Strain into a collins glass almost filled with ice cubes. Add the club soda. Stir and garnish with the cherry and the orange slice.
    
Walk Me Down (Sweet Jesus)
1/2 oz vodka
1/2 oz triple sec
1/2 oz rum
1/2 oz gin
1/2 oz tequila
1 oz sweet and sour mix
1/2 oz Blue Curacao liqueur
4 - 6 oz Sprite soda
    
Shake ingredients (except Sprite) together in a cocktail shaker half-filled with ice cubes. Add Sprite and stir. Strain into a hurricane glass over ice, and serve.
